Completing the Retirement Puzzle

Hands placing the final piece in a white puzzle, overlaid with the phrase “Financial Planning + Life Design = A Retirement That Fits.

For many, retirement planning starts in a financial advisor’s office where you're building a strong financial foundation: mapping out income streams, managing risk, planning for longevity, and ensuring that future goals align with available resources. It’s thoughtful, complex work and it plays a critical role in helping individuals step into retirement with confidence.

Others begin with a more personal question: Who will I be without my work? or What do I actually want from this chapter?

Either way, both conversations matter.
Because the most fulfilling retirements aren’t just financially secure—they’re personally meaningful. And that’s where life planning comes in.

Many advisors touch on this. They ask thoughtful questions like, What do you want to do in retirement? or What will bring you joy? These are important and they open the door.

But there’s a deeper layer that often gets missed and that’s the emotional and psychological shifts that show up once the structure of work fades.
This includes:

  • Identity loss or reinvention

  • Uncertainty about how to spend time

  • Disrupted routines, strained relationships, or unexpected emotions

  • A need to rebuild purpose and connection outside of your career role

This is where I come in.

My work doesn’t replace financial planning. It expands it. I help clients connect to the why behind their retirement, and build the mindset, awareness, and tools to navigate it with intention.

The return on this kind of planning? It’s real:
Less second-guessing
Clearer direction
Stronger relationships
The confidence to move forward even when it feels unfamiliar
And far less time lost to indecision or emotional churn because you have a grounded sense of what matters and how to move forward

You don’t need to have a financial advisor to do this work. But if you do, our work together can deepen and clarify those conversations.
And just like your financial plan evolves, your life vision will too which is why this process equips you with a practical foundation you can revisit as life unfolds.

This is the whole-person approach to retirement.
It brings together what you have with who you are so your next chapter is shaped not by default, but by design.

So if you’ve done the financial planning—fantastic. And if you haven’t, this kind of clarity will help guide it.
Either way, let’s build a life plan that taps into your strengths, honors your story, and stretches you in ways that bring energy and purpose.

Because the real win isn’t crossing the finish line into retirement.
It’s designing a life beyond it that feels purposeful, connected, and truly your own.
